The job lifecycle: lead to completed

Every job in TradeFlow moves through a series of statuses. Understanding the flow helps you track where all your work stands.

Statuses

1. Lead: initial enquiry, not yet confirmed.
2. Quoted: you've sent the client a quote.
3. Scheduled: job is booked in with a date.
4. In Progress: work has started on site.
5. On Hold: paused (waiting on materials, client decision, etc.).
6. Completed: work is done.
7. Cancelled: job was called off.

Changing status

Click the status badge on any job to move it to the next stage. You can also drag jobs between columns on the Kanban board.

What triggers automatically

• Converting a lead to a job sets status to Lead or Quoted.
• Sending a quote from a job updates it to Quoted.
• Completing a job prompts you to send a final invoice.

Each status change is logged in the job's activity timeline.
